I just love The People’s Pharmacy and their show on NPR. When I am on a early Saturday morning road trip to a show I tune in and always learn something interesting. I live in Texas and honestly we have to have salt or we would dry up and blow away.. but I do think that too much is too much

Cayenne is where it all started and it is my favorite! 2022 won it 2 awards. I now love the salt free cayenne on Pasta or pizza, but that bright red color on a Fettuccine Alfredo makes the flavor as well as the presentation POP

But I will take my compliments where I can get them- Gift my shit all you want and for a bonus I’ll include packing peanuts or edamame if there is room

The Scovie Awards evolved from the National Fiery Foods & Barbecue Show after 1996 when the contest was called “The Fiery Foods Challenge.” Originally, it was part of the show and even had a People’s Choice Award that was voted on by the general public. After we discovered ballot-stuffing during the contest, the decision was made to separate the show and the awards, which were renamed “The Scovie Awards” to honor the memory of Wilbur Scoville, the scientist who invented the Scoville Organoleptic Test in 1912 to determine the heat scale of chili peppers.
